Involvement CCNA tailors its services to fit the needs of the client. Our goal is to maximize the value to the client of our experience; this in turn requires careful evaluation of the client's -- not CCNA's -- needs in terms of the intensity of our involvement. We can summarize this degree of involvement into three representative classifications -- advisory services, staff augmentation, and software support. These are not necessarily mutually exclusive; for instance, if more than one department requires assistance, the degrees of CCNA involvement in each can be very different. Each of these categories is explained in more detail in the following sections. Advisory Services CCNA's primary objective is to assist its clients in making better decisions. this end, we view our most important role to be that of advisor -- identifying options, risks, and methods that the client and its staff have not considered. This advisory role is our first and foremost task in almost any engagement, and in many cases is the full extent of our role. We value the opportunity to serve our clients as expert advisors, and consider it a privilege to be engaged in this capacity.
Staff Augmentation In many cases, the client requires more than good advice -- it needs the additional manpower, on a temporary or long term basis, to put that advice to work. CCNA has worked alongside client staff members on such long-term assignments for several of its clients, building value in terms of getting specific jobs done, and at the same time allowing for improved advisory services due to our improved understanding of the clients' internal capabilities, constraints, and cultures.
Software Support Modern energy companies cannot make good decisions without adequate software resources. Resource planning, accounting, budgeting, and pricing are all highly complex tasks that require such tools. CCNA consultants have broad experience in many aspects of software development and implementation. In fact, energy industry commercial software development is an integral component of the backgrounds of our two principal staff members. Consequently, CCNA offers expert advice on the selection and implementation of software tools for a variety of purposes. Additionally, we offer computer modeling services on an as-needed basis or, if client needs require, on a continual, outsourced basis.
